Tender Meatball Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp Finely minced onion
  • 2 Pounds Ground Meat of Choice
  • Olive Oil for cooking

Equipment

  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Frying Pan
  • Tongs
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Paper Towel

Method
 

  1. Warm a large frying pan with oil to coat over medium or medium low heat.
  2. Mix all the spices listed above in a small bowl along with one cup of breadcrumbs.
  3. Mince up 3 Tablespoons of onion. This takes about 1/4 of a medium onion.
  4. Measure out 1/2 cup of milk.
  5. Next, smoosh up your ground meat so it's all loose in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  6. Crack an egg onto the meat mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the herb/crumb mixture across the meat.
  8. Pour 1/2 cup of milk over the top.
  9. Next, roll up those sleeves and mix up the ingredients by hand until they are fully incorporated.
  10. Take out about a golf ball sized lump of meat and VERY LOOSELY form it into a ball.
  11. Working in batches, cook the meatballs in the pan.
  12. Using tongs or whatever kitchen tool you've got, flip the meatballs so they are nicely browned on all sides.
  13. Remove from the pan and place them on a paper towel lined plate OR add them right to your sauce/pasta/what have you.
  14. These meatballs are ready to eat as is! Or you can add to a sauce.
