Simple Farmhouse Pudding

You are a few simple ingredients and about fifteen minutes away from an amazing dessert!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Whole Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2/3 Cups Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup + 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla

Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Rubber Spatula
  • 4-Quart Sauce pan
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons

Method
 

  1. Add milk and eggs to your saucepan over medium heat. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Whisk in sugar and cornstarch until completely smooth.
  3. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring from the bottom using your rubber spatula.
  4. Once it begins to thicken, remove it from the heat. Continue stirring.
  5. Add in butter and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
  6. Serve warm or chill.
  7. Best eaten with 2 days.

Notes

Variations
Chocolate: Add 1/4 Cup + 2 Tablespoons cocoa along with your sugar and thickener.
Butterscotch: Substitute brown sugar for white sugar.
Rich Vanilla: Use three eggs instead of two.
Cornstarch Substitute: You can replace cornstarch with the flour of your choice at a ratio of 1 Tablespoon of Cornstarch = 2 Tablespoons of flour.
